Director of Tennis

I started teaching tennis at the Linkoping Tennis Klubb when I was 14. LTK arranged inhouse training, and later I certified with the Swedish Tennis Federation, Level 1 and 2. I taught tennis to kids and adults for 5 years at LTK. While living in Germany, I coached the TSV Malsch Ladies team. After a stint in the corporate world, I was fortunate to join Sheila Weinstock and the teaching staff at the Natick Racquet Club. I coached the DBH teams, ran Cardio Tennis for many years, headed up the Junior Excellence Program, and started a monthly Junior Grand Prix green ball tournament. I joined Longwood when Mary Kakas was captain of her spring league team, and there was a small backboard behind the teaching courts. Over the years I have been involved in setting up events such as the Member/Guest, Club Championships, Monday Night Team Tennis, Wilander On Wheels, and our exhibition matches.

Title

Staff Professional

I consider myself an all-around tennis player, I understand the importance of developing every aspect of your game, from technique to strategy to mental toughness. One of the key elements of my approach to tennis is consistency. By treating every point as if it were a match point, we are able to maintain focus and avoid making careless errors. Additionally, I embrace the Spanish tennis system of tennis, which helps me emphasize discipline and a strong work ethic through practice and repetition. I enjoy doubles clinics, and I can help you improve your volley. We'll work on drills that will help you and your partner develop effective communication on the court, ensuring that you are always in sync with one another. In singles, we'll work on developing your point construction skills, including shot selection and court positioning and specific strokes.

Today is the beginning of the rest of your life.” So, let’s get out and play some tennis. Tennis has been my passion for as long as I can remember. There is nothing I would rather do. Tennis is the sport of a lifetime. I have learned so many great life lessons through tennis - the greatest gift that my parents have given me. These include overcoming adversity with mental toughness, exploring physical and mental capabilities to grow as a player and person, and teaching sportsmanship, a skill important in all areas of life. Most of all, tennis has helped to build lifetime friendships.
